General Overview
Our Dynamic Science and Dynamic Spanish Science curriculum for 3rd-5th grade students includes cross-curricular reading passages in the Science Literacy section. These passages allow students to deepen their understanding of important Science concepts while reinforcing critical language and literacy skills taught in ELAR.
Teachers can expect to find a Science and RLA formative assessment for each TEKS listed. While the reading passage is the same in each assessment, the questions will correlate to the corresponding subject:
- Science assessments focus on deepening students’ understanding of the related Science TEKS.
- RLA assessments focus on reading comprehension development.
