Summit K12’s Multilingual Newcomer lessons in Dynamic Science are designed to support English language learners as they engage with science materials. These lessons provide a bridge for newcomers, helping them access content, build language skills, and explore scientific concepts. Multilingual Newcomer Lessons are available for grades 3rd through 8th, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and IPC.

1. Log in and select My Course on your Teacher Dashboard or My Courses in the navigation bar.
2. Navigate to the class you would like to view and select Science Literacy.
3. Select Multilingual Newcomer Lessons.
Navigating Multilingual Newcomer Lessons
The Multilingual Newcomer Lessons are organized by category and consist of three sections:
- Science Foundation Lesson Theme eBook: Students read an eBook and engage in activities related to the science topic. It provides a foundational understanding of scientific concepts and vocabulary.
- Vocabulary Review: Students reinforce learned vocabulary using flashcards. This helps them build their scientific language skills.
- Content Quiz: A post-test that assesses students’ knowledge of what they’ve learned, it allows them to demonstrate their understanding of the science content.
