General Overview
Our Dynamic Sciences curriculum includes a Differentiated Science Literacy subsection that allows students to apply their cross-curricular knowledge and skills from Science and ELAR. TEKS from both subjects are embedded into a single lesson.
Differentiated Science Literacy is available in the following Dynamic Science courses:
- Dynamic Science /Spanish Science for 3rd-8th grade
- Dynamic Biology
- Dynamic Chemistry
- Dynamic IPC
- Dynamic Physics
1. Log in and select My Course on your Teacher Dashboard or My Courses in the navigation bar.
2. Navigate to your desired class and select Science Literacy.
3. Select Differentiated Science Literacy.
4. Find the applicable TEKS and select Start to preview the content.
5. Select the Assign button to assign a quiz to students enrolled in the selected class.
Related TEKS
The Science TEKS correlating to the activity will always be displayed, ensuring visibility for teachers to assign specific assignments that align with their current scope and sequence.
Depending on your Dynamic Science course, the corresponding RLA TEKS will also be provided.
If available, scaffolded lessons can be assigned for additional practice. Otherwise, the scaffolded TEKS will be noted. These are marked with the scaffold icon.
eBook
The eBooks encourage content-based language development and include academic vocabulary, visual stimuli, and auditory support.
If available, the listed reading comprehension strategy correlates to the targeted skill students will practice in the corresponding eBook and will re-appear as a recurring theme in subsequent quizzes.
Science and RLA Quizzes
After completing the eBook, students complete the Science and RLA quizzes. Students can refer back to the eBook as needed. Science quizzes are related to the science TEKS content while RLA quizzes focus on reading comprehension.

Use the Science Literacy Teacher’s Guide to access guided reading lesson plans and answer keys for the quizzes.
