Accommodations are alterations to the way a student receives content. It does not change the instructional level or performance criteria and must be documented and decided upon by the appropriate school committee (IEP, 504, or other educational support committees).
Summit K12 offers the following accommodations that are embedded in areas of our products to meet students' needs:
RLA Mastery and Science
- Text-To-Speech (TTS)
- Assistive technology that reads digital text aloud and allows for online Oral Administration.
- Assistive technology that reads digital text aloud and allows for online Oral Administration.
- Content and Language Supports
- As defined by TEA, "this designated support allows for various types of assistance (e.g., scaffolded directions, assistance with tracking, graphic organizers, simplified language, graphic representations of vocabulary and concepts) to support a student’s understanding of selections, test questions, and answer choices."
Connect to Literacy - ELPAC Readiness
- Pause or Replay Audio
- Ability for users to pause or replay audio.
Connect to Literacy - WIDA Mastery
- Manual Control (MC)
- Autonomy for when to play audio.
- Repeat Audio (RA)
- Ability to repeat the audio at least one more time, depending on the domain.
- L1 Support and First Language (coming soon!)
- Provides first-language support in available languages. When enabled, the text and audio directions will be provided in the student’s first language.
