IT/Technology Department Action
Summer Rollover
The Summit K12 Learning Management System (LMS) undergoes a data rollover in mid-summer, which involves archiving all accounts, classes, and data from the previous school year. To ensure a fresh start for the upcoming academic year, all existing accounts will be archived as part of this rollover and new accounts will be required to be set up.
If using Summit K12 for summer school, contact Summit K12 Support to discuss how the data rollover may impact your accounts.
IT/Technology Department Action
Please let Summit K12 Support know the dates you plan to stop and restart the file upload or sync.
Summit K12 Support will disable all nightly syncs before the rollover occurs. The sync will remain disabled until onboarding for an active subscription the next school year begins. No further action is needed from the district's IT/Tech dept. However, if you're considering changing your rostering method or have any anticipated updates to your data, please reach out to Summit K12 Support.

Preparing for Next Year
Summit K12 Support will reach out beginning in June and ask for confirmation that your Student Information System (SIS) data has been updated to reflect the new school year’s data and students. Once confirmed, Summit K12 Support will complete the file upload and/or enable the sync. New accounts and classes will be created.
For detailed information about onboarding, including new rostering options added for the upcoming 2024-25 school year, we encourage you to review the Onboarding Overview. This overview will expand on system requirements for SSO integrations, manual rostering, and more.
If you would like to verify that you have the most updated points of contact, please reach out to Summit K12 Support.
Additionally, we have a variety of articles for administrators, teachers, and students in the Summit K12 Help Center to assist with preparation for next school year.
Reports and Usage
Prior to the mid-summer rollover, we recommend teachers and administrators download any necessary reports from the previous school year. For step-by-step instructions on how to download reports specific to your courses, please refer to the Reports section of your subscription(s) in the Summit K12 Help Center.
If you are looking to access reports and the data rollover has already occurred, contact Summit K12 Support who can assist with gaining temporary access to your archived data.
