Please see the following information for solutions regarding issues with Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) rostering. If you are still encountering issues after reviewing this information, please do not hesitate to contact Summit K12 Support.
Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) will:
- SFTP will add new students to the enrollment box on Summit K12.
- SFTP will transfer students who have existing Summit K12 accounts to their new school's enrollment box.
Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) will NOT:
- SFTP will not automatically enroll students into classes on Summit K12. Please see the article on Enrolling Students and/or Support Teachers for instructions on how to enroll students into classes.
- SFTP will not automatically give students Single Sign-On (SSO) access. Please see our Clever Single Sign-on (SSO) or ClassLink articles for steps on setting up Single Sign-on (SSO) access for Summit K12.
- SFTP will not delete accounts from Summit K12 if a User is removed from the file. Please contact Summit K12 Support with a student's name and email if you would like the account to be deleted.
Troubleshooting SFTP Rostering - First Areas to Check:
- Confirm that you have included the NCES ID#s in the Identifier column in the orgs.csv
- Verify that you are using the correct SFTP login credentials
- Check for typos/misspellings in field headers and that all required field headers are included in the files
- Look for duplicate emails or student IDs
- Make sure to include district-assigned emails
- Determine if student emails or student IDs are missing
- Fill out any required field values that are missing for each user or org
What to do if students are included on the users.csv but are not appearing in the Summit K12 enrollment box
Summit K12 recommends that new files are sent at 7 pm nightly. If a student included on the users.csv does not appear in the enrollment box on Summit K12 within 24-48 hours, please contact Summit K12 Support.
