Clever is a third-party application that provides access to Summit K12 through a Single Sign-On (SSO). Clever as a Single Sign-On (SSO) can be set up with rostering methods such as a Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) nightly upload or manual rostering. Summit K12 uses district-assigned email addresses to authenticate users.

Requesting Summit K12
The Clever Help Center has an Add/request or remove apps article with a guide on adding vendor resource applications. We will cover the main requirements below:
- Submit a request to Summit K12 on Clever by navigating to your Clever Dashboard, selecting Application, and then clicking Add Application.
- Once you are on the Add Application page, search for Summit K12. The Summit K12 app has an image of mountains with a blue background:

Updating Permissions
The Clever Help Center has a Sharing Permissions article with a guide on setting up first-time rules and permissions. We will cover the main requirements below:
- Once Summit K12 has approved the connection, please configure your sharing permissions.
- Clever recommends Sharing by Rules to determine which Users should have access to Summit K12.
- Example - For Summit K12 RLA purchased for all students in 6th-8th grade, all RLA classes at selected schools should be included
- Example - For Summit K12 Biology purchased for one teacher, all Biology classes for that specific teacher at that school should be included
