The information in this article applies if you have selected to use ClassLink Roster Server or Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP) for automated rostering of your purchased Summit K12 subscription(s).
Partners who set up automated rostering through ClassLink or Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP), have the added task of determining which rostering option better suits their onboarding needs. The main consideration is whether the teacher and students who will be using your Summit K12 subscription(s) are in scheduled classes together in your SIS (Student Information System).

Rostering Overview and Recommendations
Scheduled Classes for Full Roster Integration
If the students and teachers using Summit K12 are in scheduled classes in your SIS, we recommend using a Full Roster Integration. This will automate account and class creation in addition to student enrollment!
Unscheduled Classes for Account Provisioning
If the students and teachers using Summit K12 are not in scheduled classes, Roster Account Provisioning is the more suitable option. This will only automate account creation. If teachers can be shared in your Users data with the role of “teacher”, they will use in-product tools to create their own classes.
If the teachers using Summit K12 are not listed as “teacher” in your Users data, they’ll need to be rostered manually.
Afterward, teachers would be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of their student enrollment on Summit K12, which allows for further autonomy:
