It is recommended students are enrolled in one class per subject at a time. Being enrolled in more than one class can cause a few complications.
1. The student will see multiple courses.
Enrollment in more than one class can confuse students when they try to access their classes. This can be particularly problematic when the student is enrolled in classes that have different class titles.
2. Unlocked assignments will be harder to find.
Since activities and assessments are unlocked at the class level, students who are enrolled in more than one class may have a harder time finding the activities that their teacher unlocked. If a student were to click on another teacher's class, activities would be seen as locked. This can cause frustration and confusion for both the teacher and the student.

3. Data such as enrollment and assessment scores may be inaccurate.
Particularly for Summit K12's English Language Development products, enrollment in more than one class can lead to misleading data at the school and district admin levels.
Data may not transfer if the student is enrolled in multiple classes with a different ELD grade band. For more information on grade bands, please see one of the following:

Additionally, if a student is enrolled in multiple classes, admin reports will aggregate data to list the student once and only in the class in which the data was made in.
4. Instead of enrolling students in two classes, utilize Support Teachers.
Teachers can be enrolled in other teachers' classes to have access to additional student groups! This means that multiple teachers can share a class and all have control over enrolling students and unlocking benchmarks/assignments. This will ensure that students only see one class for that product and that their data on reports is accurate.
