Students can monitor and visualize their own progress on Summit K12 as they complete their Personalized Learning Plan (PLP) through Summit K12’s Avatar feature*.
*Students must have a Personalized Learning Plan (PLP) generated in order to access the Avatar feature.
Viewing Avatar Progress
Students can view their Trek progress at any time. Treks will appear once the student has taken at least one ELD Assessment for that course. To access their Trek(s), students will select My PLP on My Summit Base page, choose which Trek they would like to check their progress in, and select Check your progress.
After completing assignments in their Personalized Learning Plan (PLP), students will be shown a short animated graphic of their Avatar trekking towards the summit of Mt. Everest.
Avatar Customization
Students can customize their Avatars. To access the customization options, students will select My PLP on My Summit Base page, select Check your progress, then select My Profile.
A window will pop up called "Personalize your Avatar". Students can choose their Avatar and their skin tone. The options they have chosen will be outlined in blue. When done, students will select the Save button.
