Summit K12's Connect to Literacy assessments for English Language Development are designed to support students as they prepare for the WIDA ACCESS™ exam. To mirror the online testing environment, audio clips for each test page automatically play as students navigate to subsequent pages.
The audio will contain instructions, provide situational context, or prompt the student to answer a question. Since text support is not provided, students must listen and pay attention to the audio as they work through the assessments.
It is important to note that audio will only play once unless additional accommodations have been enabled. For more details about the testing experience on Summit K12, please view Teacher Guide: ELD Benchmark Test Experience and Troubleshooting - National ELD.
As students work through an assessment, they can use the icons at the top of the page to understand how much they've progressed:
- A gray box indicates answered questions/completed pages
- A white box indicates unanswered questions/incomplete pages
- A blue box indicates the question the student is currently working on
1. When students are ready to submit their assessment, they will answer the last question and select Finish attempt ... This will bring them to the SUMMARY OF ATTEMPT page.
2. Students will select Submit All and Finish.
3. After submitting, students will get to see how they did! If a question says Score : Scoring In Progress - Please Refresh, it's waiting to be auto-scored by the program.
4. When students are done reviewing their assessment, they can scroll to the bottom of the page and select Finish to view the available TREK in their Personalized Learning Plan.
