There are a few different ways to record and submit your audio answer on Summit K12 depending on the activity that you are working on.
Recording on an Assessment or Activity
Recording on an Assessment or Activity
Once you are on a speaking question, the audio will start playing. You can only record your answer once, so it might be a good idea to write down your thoughts and practice what you will say before recording.
Follow the steps below when you are ready to record:
Step 1: Click the Microphone button to begin recording your answer. Be sure to speak clearly and loud enough into your microphone.
Step 2: Click the Stop button when you are done recording.
Step 3: Click the green Play button to listen to your recording.
Your recording will be saved automatically when you move on to the next question. The recordings will be graded once you finish and submit the assessment activity.
How Long Can My Recording Be?
Summit K12 will stop recording your response once you have reached the time limit for each question.
Keep track of the bar as you record! When it reaches the end, your recording will automatically stop.
Pronunciation Perfector
The Pronunciation Perfector (PP) is not a graded assignment, but it will help you practice your speaking!
Click on to start recording. When the button changes to , it means it is recording your answer. The PP will stop recording when it does not hear your voice anymore. You can also press to finish recording at any time.
If you see or it means that you need to try recording one more time. This is okay! Just click on the blue button to record again.
If you see it means that you said the word correctly and the PP will move you to the next word.
When you finish, click on to submit. Once submitted, you will see a green check mark or a red try again message.
The PP needs a strong internet connection because it is graded immediately. Sometimes this can cause issues when you are recording, so make sure to do the following to help with your recording:
- Make sure your internet connection is strong
- Close other open tabs when working on PP activities
- Use Google Chrome as your browser
