Summit K12’s Connect to Literacy ELPAC Readiness program includes an ELPI Status Report educators can use to track student progress using Summit K12 ELD benchmark assessments.
Report Information
The ELPI (English Learner Progress Indicator) Status Report converts students’ raw scores on submitted ELD benchmark assessments to a scale score. Scale score ranges are unique to each ELPI level in each grade.

The Overall scale score and ELPI level is a weighted combination of a student’s Oral and Written averages:
- Kindergarten: 70% Oral + 30% Written
- Grades 1 - 12: 50% Oral + 50% Written
The following requirements must be met in order for a student to receive an Overall scale score and Level on Summit K12’s ELPI Status Report:
- Students must submit an ELD benchmark assessment for each of the 4 domains in a given testing period (Pre-test, Interim, or Summative).
- The Writing benchmark assessment must be scored by the teacher. Unscored Writing assessments will be marked with Pending on the ELPI Status Report.
How to Access the Report
To find the ELPI Status Report, teachers will:
1. Select My Courses.
2. Navigate to the ELPAC Readiness class and select Reports. This will open up the TEACHER REPORTS DASHBOARD.
3. Under Summary Reports, select ELPI Status Report.
4. Once on the ELPI Status Report, teachers with more than one ELPAC Readiness class can use the Class dropdown menu to easily toggle between different groups of students’ data. Download the report to an Excel Spreadsheet by selecting Download.
