Welcome to Summit K12!
Our Dual Language program provides students an opportunity to develop their reading and writing skills in English or Spanish throughout the year. This guide provides you with four easy steps to start implementing Summit K12 in your classroom!
1. Access Your Course
2. Enroll Students
3. Assign Benchmarks and Activities
4. Track Student Data
1. Access Your Course
Log in and select My Course on your Teacher Dashboard or My Courses in the navigation bar*.
*Dual Language includes two courses (RLA and Dominio de SLAR).
2. Enroll Students
Select + ENROLL to enroll students in your Dual Language class if students still need to be enrolled*.
*If your district's IT/Tech Dept will establish a full roster integration with Summit K12 Support, students will be enrolled automatically and may not need to be manually enrolled. Contact your administration for more guidance if needed.
For more details, please see Enrolling Students and/or Support Teachers.
3. Assign Benchmarks and Activities
Navigate to your class and select your desired section to assign TEKS-related activities according to your district's scope & sequence.
The RLA Mastery (top) section of your Dual Language class delivers content in English. Dominio de SLAR (bottom) delivers content in Spanish. Assign content according to your students’ language needs and program implementation. Contact your administration for further guidance if needed.
STAAR-like benchmarks are available for progress monitoring in both courses.
RLA Mastery (3rd - English II) |
Dominio de SLAR (3rd - 5th) |
We recommend administering the R/LA Pre-Test or Pre-evaluación as an initial diagnostic so that a Personalized Learning Plan (PLP) can populate for your students.

4. Track Student Data
Use our reports to track student data as they progress throughout the year. A report is available for each component of Dual Language: RLA Mastery and Dominio do SLAR . The most commonly used reports are identified by the red arrows and provide information regarding assessments, Personalized Learning Plans, and TEKS Reading/Writing Skills*.
*If your district is using an LMS integration, grades will sync for deployed content. Use LMS reports for detailed progress monitoring.
To find your reports, select Reports from your Teacher Dashboard. This will open your Teacher Reports Dashboard. To view reports specifically for RLA Mastery or Dominio de SLAR, or if you have other Summit K12 programs, such as Connect to Literacy, make sure to switch your dashboard to the appropriate course before selecting Reports.
If you have multiple classes, use the Class dropdown menu at the top right of your Teacher Reports Dashboard to select the desired class when viewing your reports.
