The CA-CCSS Language Skills module can be found in our Reading-Writing course in the Writing subsection. This module includes video lessons, practices, short assessments, and additional scaffolds over Language, Grammar, and Editing Skills.
Practice activities are programmed to have a minimum passing requirement of 80% in order for students to access the Assess activity. Students who do not meet the passing requirement will be prompted to Try Again. Encourage students to rewatch the video, unlock any available scaffolded lessons, or provide direct intervention as needed.
Assignments can appear in students' Reading-Writing Personalized Learning Plans or can be unlocked as standalone assignments at the teacher's discretion. The Common Core State Standards that are available in your ELPAC Readiness course will vary by grade level.
Teachers can pull a class report to find students' average scores in each skill, an overall Language Skills AVG, and a PLD rating.
1. Navigate to your ELPAC Readiness class and click Reports. This will open your TEACHER REPORTS DASHBOARD.
2. Select ELD Writing Mastery.
3. Select CA-CCSS Language Skills to view the class report.
4. On the class report, you can select a student's name to pull up a detailed individualized report. Click on the assessed score to view the student's responses to that particular activity.
