My Summit Base
After successfully signing in, you should see your student dashboard called My Summit Base. From here you can access your assignments, work on your PLP, and keep track of your progress.
Take an Assessment
Under the My Assignments tab, you will see the assessment(s) that your teacher has assigned you. If you don’t see any assessment, ask your teacher for help.
Some questions on the Speaking assessments will require you to record yourself. Make sure you are using a device or a headset with a built-in microphone and that the microphone has been enabled. Ask your teacher or an adult for help if needed.
1. Start by selecting the icon for the assessment your teacher is asking you to complete.
2. Answer all of the questions the best you can and after completing the last question, select Finish Attempt.
3. Look over your answers. Does it say "Answer saved" for each question?
❌ No - Select the question number to return to the question. Answer the question the best you can and select Finish Attempt again.
✅ Yes - Select Submit all and finish.
4. You will see a final Confirmation window pop up. Read the statement.
- Select Cancel to go back to the questions.
- Select Submit all and finish to turn in your assessment.
Once you submit your answers, you cannot go back and make any other changes.
5. You will now be able to see your graded assignment. You can look over your answers and see which questions had correct or incorrect answers. Select Finish review at the bottom of the page to exit.
Find Your PLPs
Based on the assessment you completed, you will see a Personalized Learning Plan (PLP) designed just for you! A PLP is filled with activities that will help you practice and get better at skills that might have been hard for you on your assessment.
1. Find your PLPs under My PLP on your student dashboard.
2. Select one of the TREK icons to view your PLP in Listening, Speaking, Reading, or Writing. Ask your teacher for help if you are not sure which TREK you need to work on.
3. Select the blue Start TREK button to get started on your PLP. Assignments in your PLP will automatically unlock one at a time. Once you finish an assignment, the next one will open up!
4. Continue working on your PLP until your teacher instructs you otherwise or until you take another assessment and a new PLP is created for you.
5. Select Completed Assignments under the My PLP tab to see scores for finished PLP activities or under the My Assignments tab to find scores for teacher-assigned assessments and activities.
