This guide will explain how to unlock an ELD Benchmark Assessment in Summit K12's WIDA Mastery course. WIDA Mastery assessments are only available in grades 1-12.
1. Select My Courses.
2. Navigate to a class whose assessments you wish to unlock.
Assessments for Listening and Reading can be found in the Interpretive Mode course.
Assessments for Speaking and Writing can be found in the Expressive Mode course.
3. Select the leftmost icon titled ELD Benchmarks-ILLPs.

4. Now you will see a list of assessments. Each domain is tested separately. There are two Pre-test assessments, two Interim assessments, and two Summative assessments in each Interpretive Mode course and Expressive Mode course.
Click the red-lock icon of the assessment you wish to administer. The green-lock icon
indicates the assessment is unlocked and available for students to access. If a Testing Window has been set by your district, you will only be able to unlock the assessment within those dates.
Lead Teachers, Support Teachers, School Admins, or District Admins may unlock assessments for courses they have access to. This process should be repeated for any class that has assessments you wish to administer*.
Students will navigate to the unlocked assessment in the same manner as the teacher. If students attempt to start a locked assessment, the cursor will change to .
When a student submits both the Reading and Listening Pre-Tests for the Interpretive Mode, ILLP #1 (Individualized Language Learning Plan) will be generated. ILLP #2 and ILLP #3 will be generated when students complete the required Interim assessments and Summative assessments.
When a student submits the Speaking Pre-Test for the Expressive Mode, an ILLP #1 (Individualized Language Learning Plan) will be generated. ILLP #2 and ILLP #3 will be generated when students complete the Interim assessment and Summative assessment.
