The TEKS Editing Skills component of your Reading-Writing TELPAS Readiness course covers 100% of the NEW ELAR K-12 Writing Skills TEKS. It provides teachers lessons, practice items, and assessments to help students prepare for the TELPAS Writing samples that will be collected, while also preparing them for the NEW R/LA integrated Reading and Writing STAAR Assessment that embeds revision and editing skills into the test.
Assignments from this section can be unlocked as standalone assignments or may appear in student's Personalized Learning Plans.
General Information
ELAR TEKS alignment and scaffolded lessons are conveniently identified for teachers. Practice activities are programmed to have a minimum passing requirement of 80% in order for students to access the Assess activity. Students who do not meet the passing requirement will be prompted to Try Again. Encourage students to rewatch the video, unlock any available scaffolded lessons or provide direct intervention as needed.
