How to Enable the Microphone on Google Chrome
1. Ensure your Google Chrome is up to date.

2. Select the 3-dot panel found near the top-right of the Google Chrome browser.
3. Select Settings on the dropdown menu.
4. Select Privacy and security.
5. Select Site settings.
6. Select Microphone.
7. Select the default microphone on the device.
8. Select "Sites can ask to use your microphone".
9. If any Summit K12 URL sites are listed under Not allowed to use your microphone, there are 2 options:
9.1 Select the icon next to the blocked website to edit the permission to "Ask (default)" or
"Allow".
9.2 Select the icon next to the blocked website to remove the permission.
10. When the student logs back into Summit K12 and attempts an assignment that requires the use of a microphone, ensure the student allows permission when prompted to access the microphone.
How to Enable the Camera on Google Chrome
1. Under Site settings, select Camera.
2. Select the default camera on the device.
3. Select "Sites can ask to use your camera".
4. If any Summit K12 URL sites are listed under Not allowed to use your camera, there are 2 options:
4.1 Select the icon next to the blocked website to edit the permission to "Ask (default)" or
"Allow".
4.2 Select the icon next to the blocked website to remove the permission.
5. When the student logs back into Summit K12 and attempts an assignment that requires the use of a camera, ensure the student allows permission when prompted to access the camera.

Allow Permission Directly From Browser
1. After navigating to the Summit K12 LMS on your Google Chrome browser, select the icon located in the search bar, to the left of the URL.
2. Allow permission for the camera and/or microphone features by toggling to the right. When the toggle is blue, the feature is allowed access. If the toggle is gray, the feature is denied access.
